12v.Biz was founded by Anthony (Tony) Dehnke in 2019. As a former Car Audio store owner, Tony saw the need to have a digital scheduling app for the Car Audio industry that reduced paperwork and let staff focus on customer service and delivering a great product to their clients.
The Toolbox has been built while Tony has been living as a Digital Nomad around the world, making it a truly remote product.
Today, the Toolbox helps stores book, track thousands of jobs daily, and communicate with thousands of clients during their vehicles service, across North America.
Built by a Store Owner for Store Owners
Anthony founded Driven Audio, a specialist car audio retail and installation center in BC, Canada in 2010 and grew to a industry recognized and awarded store. In 2017, he sold the successful business to another BC based shop owner, and began to explore opportunities in software that could help other owners in the 12 Volt industry. The name for the product came from that focus: 12v.Biz – 12 Volt Business. In the car audio world, it is common for people to use the shorthand of “12v” as a name for the industry.
Using his experience as a retail sales person for 3 years, 10 years as a sales representative across Canada for major car audio brands, and 7 years as a retail business owner, he had a solid foundation to build the Toolbox, the 12v.Biz flagship product.
